Surfside High School student/cheerleader Maxie has fun and adventure by solving crimes and investigating mysteries as anchorperson for her own TV show.

This show has been regarded as Jem's Replacement. Maxie's world ran from September 1989 until September 1990. In each episode straight A student and cheerleader Maxie and her friends solved various mysteries and broadcast these on her own TV show. Each episode contained a moral which sometimes was a bit overpowering. There were 32 thirty minute episodes.

Upon reaching the bottom Jamie would come out of a hole in a tree and bounce onto a trampoline, finding himself in a bizarre world - Cuckooland - populated by the likes of a one-wheeled policeman, and mad scientist Mr Boo.
