Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Title

This show tells the adventures of four turtles who were transformed into mutants by a strange ooze and were trained as ninja by a human martial arts master, Hamato Yoshi, who was changed into a mutant rat, Splinter, by the same substance. Together with the intrepid reporter, April O'Neil, they fight against the threats against the world, like Shredder and Krang.

It was called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in the UK. The American version was called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For some reason Ninja was not permitted in the title in the UK!

In Singapore, it was called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well.

Growing up in a severely Christian household, this was one of those shows I was not allowed ot watch but did anyway. I love watching these intros. Whoever made this site, thank you.

this cartoon was the nuts and im so glad ive finaly found the intro with hero instead of ninja which is what made it a classsic,so thank you

yeah i remember when i was younger hearing that the uk censorship or what ever those people r called, thought the word ninja sounded to violent for us kids so they changed to to hero... but what me and my friends found silly was that in the sticker books, posters and other offical TMHT pictures and artwork (u can tell i was a big fan) u would c the turtles eating pizza from a pizza box that had NINJA PIZZA written on it.

no it wsnt u nab, they changed it to NINJA for the new nab series :P old school HERO FTW
